Collection: Hot Rod

Hot Rod magazine has the distinction of being the oldest publication dedicated to hot rodding. Founded by Robert E. Petersen in January 1948 and originally published by Petersen Publishing Company, Hot Rod was first edited by Wally Parks, who later established the National Hot Rod Association. After Petersen Publishing was acquired by EMAP in 1998, the company sold its automotive magazines, including Hot Rod, to Primedia in 2001. Motor Trend Group, formerly known as TEN: The Enthusiast Network and Source Interlink Media, is the current publisher after acquiring Hot Rod along with other Primedia titles in 2007.
